Ricky was born and raised in Charleston, SC. He also graduated from James Island High School. Ricky attended The Citadel, the military College of South Carolina on a football scholarship and graduated with a degree in Biology. After 25 years of service, Ricky retired from the US Post Office. He also owned and operated Malibu East, a beach and volleyball bar. Unfortunately in 1989, Hurricane Hugo washed Malibu into the Atlantic Ocean. Ricky has played many sports beginning at the age of five. Some of his earliest memories were playing half rubber with his father, Dick Myatt. Ricky got involved in the Half Rubber business as a memorial to his father. Ricky has been married for over 20 years to Maggie and has a 17 year old daughter, Grace. The family is very involved in Special Olympics since Grace has Down syndrome. She too has inherited a love for sports!!
Paul was born and raised in Charleston, SC. He graduated from James Island High School (1974), College of Charleston (1978) and The Univeristy of South Carolina School of Law (1982). Paul is an active member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Charleston County Bar and South Carolina Association for Justice. He is also involved with Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue, currently serving on their leadership board, the Charleston Rotary Breakfast Club, currently serving on its board, James Island Yacht Club and Elks Club of Charleston. Paul's previous board memberships consist of Charleston Habitat for Humanity, Charleston Rotary Breakfast Club and James Island Charter High School. Paul is an avid volunteer, recognized for his years of service at James Island Charter High School and with the Department of Juvenile Justice as a volunteer probation officer for youthful first offenders . Paul has been married to Nancy Bryson for nearly 19 years, and he has two (2) sons, Jimbo and Jason Smoak, and four (4) grandchildren, Bryson, Molly Harper, Jackson, and Kinsley.
